
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 slices of ginger (see picture)
Spices
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sake
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
Preparation
- Boil soy sauce, sake, mirin and 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan
- Transfer mixture to a Tupperware container and add ginger, garlic, and sesame oil and wait for it cool
- Starting with cold water, add eggs, and after it reaches a boil, cook for 5 minutes
- Put boiled eggs into cold water, then carefully remove shells
- Once eggs have been shelled and are cool, transfer eggs to the Tupperware container and marinate overnight in the refrigerator
