
Ingredients
- 1 kg ground meat (pork and beef)
- 1 head of garlic, each clove peeled and minced
- 1 red pepper, seedes and chopped
- 1 onion
- 20 green olives, chopped
- a handful of raisins
- 2 tbsp capers, drained
- 2 sage leaves
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- 200 ml tomato sauce
- 100 ml red wine
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt
Directions
- Mix together meat, garlic, pepper, onion, olives, raisins, capers, bay leaves, cumin, oregano, tomato sauce, and wine in a bowl. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced meat and cook, breaking up meat with the back of a spoon, about 40 minutes. Season to taste with salt. Serve over white rice, if you like.
